BACKGROUND
The co-founders are from product background and had worked on big tech-companies, where they used to work together and discussed about issues they faced on daily basis and tried to find solutions to those. Flyby is the result of solutions to such problems they faced in their daily corporate life.
THE PROBLEM
In an IT Product company an employee needs to go through series of meeting with there colleagues to accomplish a task, In this Covid situation, this process has gone online via audio conference or screen share meeting even some time video call.
since these conversations are not one time so they need to do follow-up conversations on top of one another which results in a huge number of unnecessary meetings a day. Also, this kind of meeting has some negative effect also like all who want to be in the meeting need to be in sync and free for the certain period of time, Again there is another issue than someone need to document all the important conversation and need to record the meeting if needed which is a huge pain point as how they will record or where they will put the recordings.
THE SOLUTION & GOALS
The solution we provided for this issue is simple, we wanted to make this type of conversation Async, and we wanted to fix a particular problem which is related to screen sharing calls.
We gave a simple screen recording tool through which any individual can record their screen showing the problem with voice over (optional) and they can annotate any particular point on the video while recording and also after recording, Then they need to share the recording to those who need to review or go through the problem. Then whenever they will get time they can give responses to the same video via annotation, voice note or text not on the video itself.
By doing this they all will save time and the whole process will be documented.
MY ROLE
I have worked here as an UI/UX Intern, where I have designed different themes for the main application.
I have worked closely with the co-founders and engineers to deliver my thoughts on the UI/UX part and how we can make the product very easy to use for the users via various design mockups and interaction flow.
